Birth Doula

Birth Doulas are professional birthing coaches who provide emotional informational, physical, and mental support to women during the prenatal, birth, and postpartum periods.

Doulas do not provide medical care, but they are extraordinarily knowledgeable about childbirth. Their major role is to provide necessary support to the mother leading up to and during childbirth.

Bereavement Doula

Doulas aren't only available for when life begins-they are available for when life ends too.

A bereavement doula is a non-medical, trained professional who cares for the mother who has experienced loss. They are there to assist with physical, emotional and spiritual support to both the mother and family during the loss process.

A bereavement doula might help with taking family photos to preserve memories and assist mothers to help plan their child funeral. Some families rely on a bereavement doula to remain present to assist them with information and resources specific to the loss that is expected or occurring.
